LET'S NOT DIE ALREADY DEAD SHALL WE..

Anytime that you or others or myself engage in the study of God's Holy Word..We stand the chance to grow and mature from our studies-- either individually or collectively.

This study does not concern it self at the beginning of whether or not you are in Christ Jesus--Here we are only concerned that

[a] you are a Christian

[b] If you are not..then at the close of this study..we will briefly examine some texts and not some church doctrines that tell you what to do in order to be saved.. It may or may not be what you have been told..So carefully consider the impact of the texts.

It is the prayer of this author that when you die or Christ returns--you will be FOUND IN CHRIST.

We are going to begin by looking at what KILLS US   ...   AND WHERE IT GETS IT POWER

SCRIPTURES

Roma 3:20 Therefore no one will be Declared Righteous in his Sight by Observing the Law; Rather, Through the Law we Become Conscious of Sin.

*************

Gala 2:19 (niv) For Through the Law I Died to the Law so that I Might Live for God.20 I have been Crucified with Christ and I no Longer Live, but Christ Lives in me. The Life I Live in the Body, I Live by Faith in the Son of God, who Loved me and Gave Himself for me.

1Cor 15:55-56 "Where, O Death, is your Victory? Where, O Death, is your Sting?"

56 The Sting of Death is Sin, and the Power of Sin is the Law.

************** STING ************ POWER

DEATH |------------| SIN |----------------|LAW

THIS SIMPLE ILLUSTRATION HELPS US TO SEE THAT SIN DERIVES ITS POWER FROM THE LAW AND THE RESULT IS DEATH.

The following two texts support this idea{see left side}

ROM 3:20 GAL 2:19-20

What we need here is Pauls explanation on Law as found in the following verses..

Roma 7:4 (niv) So, my Brothers, you also Died to the Law Through the Body of Christ, that you Might Belong to Another, to him who was Raised from the Dead, in Order that we Might Bear Fruit to God. 5 For when we were Controlled by the Sinful Nature, the Sinful Passions Aroused by the Law were at Work in our Bodies, so that we Bore Fruit for Death.

6 But now, by Dying to what Once Bound us, we have been Released from the Law so that we Serve in the New Way of the Spirit, and not in the Old Way of the Written Code.7 What Shall we say, then? Is the Law Sin? Certainly not 8 But Sin, Seizing the Opportunity Afforded by the Commandment, Produced in me Every Kind of Covetous Desire. For Apart from Law, Sin is Dead. 9 Once I was Alive Apart from Law; but when the Commandment came, Sin Sprang to Life and I Died. 10 I Found that the Very Commandment that was Intended to Bring Life Actually Brought Death. 11 For Sin, Seizing the Opportunity Afforded by the Commandment, Deceived me, and Through the Commandment put me to Death. 12 So then, the Law is Holy, and the Commandment is Holy, Righteous and Good.

Look at This Illustration below The 10 Commandments From the above text Please note what Paul says about the LAW..
Jame 2:10 (niv) For Whoever Keeps the Whole Law and Yet Stumbles at Just one Point is Guilty of Breaking all of it. [1] Love God [2] Love Neighbor [3] [4] steal [5] [6] [7] murder [8] [9] [10] shall not covet BEAUTIFUL HOLY SPIRITUAL INTENDED FOR LIFE

BUT IN REALITY BROUGHT DEATH

When we add James 2:10 once again it is reinforced to us that if a man breaks any one part of the law--He is guilty of the whole law.--{murder, adultery, lying cheating--it doesn't matter-- BREAK ONE --GUILTY OF ALL "By Works of LAW is no man justified" Romans 3:20..
